this is Shelby.

Shelby takes pictures freelance-ily and blogs about nerd culture, music, and is a new addition to a blog for queers and co. while majoring in Catholic Studies and Philosophy and working at DePaul University in Chicago. she listens to music, talks about herself, and once in a blue moon she talks about trying to have less junk in her trunk. one day she hopes to have her Ph.D. in Theology, but she promises not to brag when that happens.

Shelby has love for Christ first & foremost, followed closely by loves for facial hair, photography, the Doctor, ice hockey, improv, and nerd culture. she is a proud citizen of Caps Nation. her disposable income goes to tattoos and concerts almost exclusively. she strongly believes that sloths are the best animals, and that people should spend less time being angry on the internet. she cannot help but reblog any picture she sees of tattooed arms holding a puppy. she is faithful to all things Justin Vernon and to all things Whedonverse. she is a little too obsessed with archers, her telescoping backscratcher, and not wearing pants.

Shelby is pro-life, pro-Mary, pro-Eucharist, pro-tattoos, pro-yoga, pro-peppermint iced coffee, and pro-oxford commas. she is a proudly outspoken advocate for food education and rights for farmers and workers, interfaith dialogue, and mental health issues. chances are good that she’s currently smiling and also that she probably wants to be your friend.
